Profile:
Kaolinite is made from finely-ground mineral in the kaolinite group. It is commonly known as neutral clay and porcelain caly. Kaolinite is a kind of two-layer hydrated aluminum silicate with a molecular formula of Al2Si2O5 (OH) 4. It has a tetrahedral coordinated silicate structure with octahedral coordinated aluminum. It is basically irreplaceable in many applications. Kaolinite is used in paints and coatings, adhesives, rubber, and polymers. It has a significant reinforcing effect in rubber.
